Nick Russell wins in Kentish Town

Lib Dem Nick Russell won yesterday's by-election in Kentish Town, retaining the seat vacated by Philip Thompson.

The result in full:

Nick Russell (Lib Dem) 939 (36.48%)

Labour 863 (33.53%)

Green 518 (20.12%)

Conservative 171 (6.64%)

BNP 62 (2.4%)

UKIP 21 (0.8%)
