Lib Dem leader backs Camden campaign11.07.35am BST (GMT +0100) Wed 5th Apr 2006 Leader of the Liberal Democrats, Sir Menzies Campbell MP, made Camden the first stop on his nationwide tour of councils where Lib Dems expect to make gains in this May's elections. Camden's Lib Dem leader Cllr Keith Moffitt and local Lib Dem campaigners took Ming Campbell on a tour of the Chalcots estate, where tenants have been let down by Labour's long-term neglect of the estate.
Ming's visit came just a week after former Lib Dem leader Charles Kennedy MP had been special guest at a reception to celebrate the launch of the Lib Dem's campaign for Camden. And leadership challengers Simon Hughes MP and Chris Huhne MP are both due to visit Camden in the next few days.
