Ponds signage is misleading

1.08.11am BST (GMT +0100) Tue 21st Jun 2005

"The signs placed at Hampstead ponds by the Corporation are designed to mislead" says Ed Fordham.

"There is no mention of the voluntary element and the Corporation of London is playing games and trying to go back on its agreement.

"I had hoped that after all the unnecessary fuss and problems the Corporation have caused so far that they would have learnt that agreeing one thing and then doing another was not the way forward for good local relations. This is really pushing things too far and they risk a real backlash from local residents and swimmers."
