Camden Liberal Democrats Lib Dem leader Nick Clegg and leader of Camden Lib Dems Cllr Keith Moffitt launch the 2010 Camden manifesto

Lack of democracy shames Ponds decission

12.00.00am GMT Sun 13th Mar 2005

At the meeting at Hampstead Town hall (ticket only organised by the Corporation of London) Catherine McGuinness and her vice Chair made much of being accountable as elected councillors. I noticed that the Corporation of London elections take place on Monday 14th March and thought that the following list might be of some interest to those of us wanting to hold the corporation to account for the way they manage the heath and don't seem to quite understand consultation and liaison...

Notice in particular the number of uncontested elections. The opportunities for exercising democracy within the Corporation looks very limited indeed.
